Paul returns from France wanting to re-marry his ex-wife, Mark wants Faith to go away with him for the weekend, and Hannah is shocked to discover that Harry is seeing other women.
Hannah is upset when Faith's other daughter Zoe, who was given up for adoption when still a baby, shows up wanting to get to know her natural mother.
Jools is not pleased about Hannah's romance with Harry, her tutor, and Hannah in turn is displeased at Faith's relationship with Mark, the builder.
Hannah asks her mother to join her in abstaining from sex and alcohol, but Faith finds it difficult to avoid temptation.
Hannah and Jools awake in bed together, neither able to remember what happened the previous night.
After an unpleasant stay at Paul's, Faith is taken with the contractor who's come to fix her damaged roof.
Description
Faith in the Future is a British comedy television show running from 17 November 1995 to 27 February 1998. A sequel to the show Second Thoughts, it aired on ITV for 22 episodes.
The show continues the story of Faith Greyshott, newly single after splitting from her long-term partner, Bill, at the end of Second Thoughts. With her daughter Hannah away travelling and her son Joe now in a shared flat, Faith decides it's time to stop being a wife and mother and live her life for herself; however, her plans are scuppered when Hannah returns and expects to move back home.
