The deadly battle unfolds in the wastelands. Empress rejects Lunatic's offer, and makes it clear that she will fight to the very end. The colonel suffers a drone barrage and faces death. Strength and Dead Master have also sustained heavy damage, and the army is all but destroyed. Is there a way out of this hopeless situation?
The colonel receives a message that the Iron Ocean is spreading, causing much confusion. Despite a message confirming that the Orbital Elevator is connected, the colonel tells everyone the plan is to get Empress close to the Elevator to destroy it. At the eleventh hour, the Peacebuilding Force begins their bombardment and the final battle begins.
Battle continues at Light House No. 8. The colonel is attacked by Charlotte, but Empress arrives.
Empress and the others are crossing the Iron Ocean. She notices Monica is acting strange.
Black Trike can't self-repair, so they go to the Peacebuilding Force Memorial Library for the parts.
Strength and Norito burst into the carrier to save Miya. They also find Lunatic.
Norito asks Strength for help, but soldiers show up. Strength purges a part of herself.
Empress learns they've got a month until the Orbital Elevator is complete. Dead Master re-appears.
Upon saving Momiji from the Educational Institution, Empress attempts rescue of her friends.
Norito asks Empress to bring supplies from a nearby hospital, but a Beehive lies there.
Description
The year is 2062. Earth has been left in ruin after the failure of a labor automation project when the AI called Artemis waged war against humanity. A girl, Empress, awakens in a research lab. As one of the three surviving guardians, she must destroy the Orbital Elevator before Artemis can complete its construction. Failure will result in a machine army overrunning Earth.
