Set in Hollywood, Arthur goes in search of his old girlfriend unaware that she is about to get married to another.
In Palm Springs a retired golfer vows to kill Nick, who he believes is his flirtatious wife's lover.
Nick and Arthur get lost and come across a church bus stranded on the railroad tracks. They get the bus off and are honored as heroes in a small town. While staying a couple of days, they learn life lessons and in the process, teach a few life lessons to some of the inhabitants as they find the real hero of the incident.
Description
Route 66 is a short-lived sequel to the 1960 television series of the same name. It aired on NBC in 1993 and was cancelled after only four episodes.
