Edmund Abrahams returns to Soebatskloof unexpectedly. Warren warns Hermien against Veronique and Hermien decides it is time to confront her. Debbie-Lee has a very clear message for Tjoppie, and shortly afterwards she and Phillip make a big decision. Gershwin decides that it is now or never, and Veronique has to think fast on her feet. A moment between Athandwa and Marco causes great discomfort.
Warren declares his love for Shireen and then gives the media something to write about! Warren gives Hermien and Tjoppie all the evidence they need to corroborate his stories to the media and Hermien fires him on the spot. Veronique is relieved that her name didn't come out of his mouth but Warren's revenge is sweet. Gershwin's obsession with Veronique starts all over again.
Christmas on Soebatskloof is a festive time and not just because Debbie-Lee returns from Paris! Stil Piet and Phillip are the heroes of the day when they defuse a threatening danger. Shireen arrives just in time when Warren wants to divulge his sins, and Joyce talks Gershwin into accompanying her to Soebatskloof. CJ is surprised by a valuable Christmas gift.
Veronique's revenge plans include a hitman but it's Shireen who has a close shave with death. Warren decides to play open cards with Hermien. CJ pleads with Granny to help reinstate peace between Joyce and Brenda and Hermien invites Joyce and Gershwin to spend Christmas with the Marais family. Nenna is deeply shocked when Phillip tells her about everything that is going on in his life.
Hermien tries to kick Veronique out of the house, while Veronique discovers information that will derail her and Gideons plans and Gideon gives Veronique a deadly task. Stil Piet remembers where he saw Saskia, while Phillip spends most of his money on a Christmas gift for her. CJ tries his best to reinstate peace in the Solomon household.
Gerrit shocks everyone with the truth: it is actually Veronique who invested in Soebatskloof! Everyone looks to Dewald for answers regarding getting out of the partnership deal. Phillip introduces Saskia to a few of his inner-circle friends, but it is Stil Piet that thinks he recognizes her. CJ calls in assistance to mediate his situation with Brenda and Grace is ready to do the right thing.
Hermien has no other choice but to sign the documents when Junior declines to become a partner. Sandy shares her suspicions about Saskia with Nenna and Joey, while Phillip and Saskia skip the family dinner at Shireens. Marco comes up with a plan to help CJ save his marriage, but when the plan is set in motion Marco sees Ruben at Brendas and a new form of hell starts.
Warren is thrown when Veronique informs him that Gideon knows about his past and that there is another plan already in the works. Hermien is caught off guard when Tjoppie makes an announcement and it puts a huge smile on Veronique's face. Phillip wants to introduce Saskia to the Systers, while Sandy warns him about the amount of money he is spending on the girl. CJ devises a plan to win Brenda back, while Gershwin has advice for Brenda regarding her wedding ring.
Veronique seduces Gerrit, one of Tjoppie's good friends, and then blackmails him and also plants the idea of a silent partner. Phillip decides not to hang out with the men so that he can spend more time with Saskia. Marco encourages CJ to fight for Brenda, but there is a snake in the grass and her name is Joyce!

Phillip can't stop talking about Saskia. Athandwa and Marco's project is a huge success, and CJ does something that could potentially ruin his relationship.
Tjoppie's questions lead him to the truth, and Hermien is not impressed with what her son finds - she decides to confront Warren. Meanwhile, Sandy gives her blessing to whatever is happening between Warren and Shireen. Philip meets a pretty girl, and he is immediately infatuated. Marco and Athandwa start working on their charity project, while Brenda removes herself from a situation in order for CJ to sort out his feelings once and for all.
Tjoppie intercepts a parcel that is addressed to Warren Ferreira and Tjoppie doesn't need to be invited twice to confront Warren about the surname change. Phillip's loneliness is a topic of conversation. Brenda tries to do the good thing and confronts CJ about his feelings. CJ discusses matters of the heart with Marco, and Marco gives his brother advice concerning the difficult position he finds himself in.
Hermien and Tjoppie decide to apply for a part of Soebatskloof to be declared as a heritage site. Shireen and Warren are falling hard for each other, but it doesn't get any approval from Veronique and when Shireen sees her and Warren together, she warns him against her. Phillip feels isolated from the rest of the Soebatsklowers, especially with Unathis parties, and invites himself to Shireen for the night. Brenda discovers a letter that lays the depth of the past out, and when she confronts CJ about it it leads to a huge falling out.
Tjoppie and Warren try to find a way to work together, but their relationship is very fragile. Unathi asks Phillip if he can use his house for a small gathering, and Phillip properly feels like an outsider. Veronique knows just how to use her silver tongue when she meets with Gideon and then she warns him against Warren. Brenda starts to suspect that there is more to the past than CJ told her. Warren blurts out his plans for Soebatskloof to Joey and Shireen.
andy and Shireen are not at all impressed with Tjoppie. A surprise kiss from Warren is a ploy so that Shireen won't notice what is right in front of her. Hermien's surprising statement catches Tjoppie off guard and gives him something that he thought was lost forever. Veronique plays open cards with Warren, and CJ and Brenda arrive back on the farm to help Marco find what he's looking for.
Debbie-Lee's heart is shattered shortly before she leaves for Paris. Warren uncovers Gideon's real plans for Soebatskloof and Veronique doesn't make things any easier. Dewald shares the unsettling bloodtest results of the partygoers, and Marco works with a very goal-orientated plan.
A 21st party on the farm turns into a nightmare when the guests all start getting sick. Hermien asks for a full investigation as soon as the partygoers blood test results become available. Debbie-Lee and Tjoppie make a very big decision regarding their future, and the ghost eventually gets a name.
Warren needs to persuade Gideon to put their plans on ice, as he fears they might be caught out but then... Veronique's curiosity gets the better of her, and she finds out who Gideon is. Tjoppie believes that the divorce will be quick and painless, which makes Debbie-Lee question things and then she makes a proposal that catches Tjoppie off guard. Athandwa and Marco have a plan to lay the ghost to rest but then the ghost loses a bangle that could be a clue to their identity.
Debbie-Lee decides to put herself first - she accepts the internship. Hermien's fear that she will lose everything worsens. Veronique aligns herself with Warren, and speaks out against Tjoppie. When baked goods start to disappear from the kitchen, the boys decide to start doing something about it.

The Marais family bid CJ and Brenda farewell for now, while Annette and Du Toit have to make a decision on what they want to do next in life. Veronique steals Tjoppie’s wallet in order to buy something unholy. Debbie-Lee tells Sandy a little white lie so that she can continue her plans in silence. Unathi meets Thozama and immediately smells trouble. Allistair makes an illegal demand to the Solomons as payback for their debt to him. Nenna tries to arrange a family dinner to draw everyone closer again.
Edmund gets support from a very unexpected source, and Debbie-Lee explodes when Sandy starts fishing tongue in cheek about her new boyfriend. Napoleon is disappointed in Gcobani’s choices, while Unathi relies on financial support from his father to realize his dreams. There are problems at Die Jaart with the new beer, but Gershwin’s back is against the wall when it comes to Allistair.
Debbie-Lee supports Edmund in secret – even if it means that she has to lie to her loved one about where she is and what she is doing. Gcobani is head over heels in love, and wonders how he can impress the woman. Gershwin is powerless against Allistair, and is forced to do him a "favor".
Napoleon warns Gcobani that they both have hangovers, and Gcobani decides to look for Thozama at Die Jaart. Debbie-Lee gives a very reluctant Edmund some very tough love. Allistair worms himself deeper into the lives of the Solomons, and when Veronique comes to hear of it she tells Gershwin that she doesn’t want Allistair anywhere near the Solomons.
Athandwa and Stil Piet depart for their initiation ceremony, while Gcobani goes to Napoleon with a big risk business proposal. Edmund resigns as the wine maker on Soebatskloof, while Nenna, Joey, and Shireen try to stop him with an intervention. Gershwin gets an extension on the payback to Johnny, but when he can’t crunch the numbers, he is forced to contact Allistair for help.
Debbie-Lee tries to intervene with Edmund, but it does not keep him from almost throwing away his name. Gershwin tells Brenda about Johnny, and Joyce makes a terrible discovery. Veronique gives Gershwin an ultimatum regarding Die Jaart. Things are looking on the up for the Grootbooms when they move into their new home – and Athandwa tells Unathi to think about completing his Matric with all the free time he will have on hand.
Edmund’s drinking has big consequences that involve Veronique, Debbie-Lee and Nenna. Unathi is not as excited about Stil Piet’s decision as Athandwa is, until Phillip opens his eyes. Tjoppie wants to know where Veronique keeps on disappearing to, while Sandy is concerned that Debbie-Lee is making another ‘Elroy’-mistake.
Gershwin and Brenda fear for their lives after an incident at Die Jaart, and Allistair discovers a note with a knife on a table. Sandy is still upset about Shireen’s future plans. Debbie-Lee takes pity on Edmund in his darkest hour. Stil Piet has an announcement of his own that he makes to his family.
Edmund wants to move back to his own cottage, in spite of Tjoppie’s pleas. Shireen’s announcement is a bomb that goes off in the Syster family. Stil Piet is unsure about Gcobani’s offer. Gershwin and Veronique try to ignore the palpable feelings, and Allistair arrives to share his condolences with the Solomons.
Edmund is not coping at all, and Joey tries to give him advice. Allison wants to get away from Soebatskloof so no one has to look at her while they mend their broken hearts. Stil Piet withdraws from the fighting, and Gcobani returns – this time with good news! Veronique’s connection to the Solomons family in Bergvallei seems to run very deep.
It is an extremely sad day when Soebatskloof is dunked into bereavement. Shireen is concerned that Edmund won’t make it through the day, while Annette is blissfully unaware of what is happening on the farm. Sandy doesn’t think Allison should attend the service, and Marco is over burials and memorial services. Joey tries to console a heartbroken Nenna.
Edmund grapples with his grief, and tries to explain and excuse himself with the truth. Unathi finds a new place to stay, and Athandwa finds himself at a cross roads when he has to make an impossible choice. Death is greeted with an emotional kiss. Marco confronts his mother regarding Stil Piet. Junior and Nenna confront Allison regarding the current status quo.
Edmund is very unpredictable in this trying time of his life: alcohol and strange women probably make it more bearable. Veronique (or Dawn Steenkamp) visits a dying Ivan – and then Gershwin shows up. A missing Unathi shows up drunk at the house – and says things that could’ve just been left alone. Junior asks Nenna to try and get through to Allison.
The Syster and Marais families will have to bury the hatchets to organise a worthy send-off for Charlie – that is if Edmund permits them to do so. Edmund is losing it, and a very early morning visit to Shireen proves it. Junior feels powerless while Allison pretends that everything is still under control. Veronique receives a call from her past: she has to say goodbye before it is too late. Unathi confronts Marco about his mother’s decision to kick Stil Piet and the Grootbooms out of their house.
Unathi tries to reconcile with Athandwa, but Athandwa wants nothing to do with his brother until he has made things right with Stil Piet. The Marais' and Systers clash over Charlie’s funeral arrangements, while Edmund asks Veronique and Tjoppie to sort it out on behalf of himself and Annette. Edmund and Shireen meet in secret. Debbie-Lee and Sandy move in with Shireen.
Edmund chases after memories of Charlie on the farm, while Shireen struggles to process her grief – Nenna gives her ‘permission’ to grieve. Napoleon comes to the rescue when Stil Piet and his nephews need to vacate their home, but Unathi is not impressed with his uncle.
Stil Piet receives a letter that could cause big problems. The Marais and Syster families gather to pay their last respects – although everyone has their own opinion on Edmund’s final decision. Edmund struggles with his loss, and the tension rises when Allison also arrives the hospital.
Edmund has a heart-wrenching decision to make about Charlie, and the decision becomes critical when Liam has another setback. Veronique doesn’t want to hear anything about Edmund’s decision, and Nenna gives her perspective on the situation. Junior finds it increasingly difficult to keep on lying about Allison’s absence.
Tjoppie goes to visit Hermien to tell her about the newest developments. Joey and Nenna take charge of the farm to ensure that the daily operations run smoothly. Junior considers sending Allison a message to ask her to come back. Clarissa’s son, Liam, needs help. Marco feels guilty about Annette’s condition. Edmund receives news from the doctors.
Edmund feels relieved when a second opinion is requested – and then he meets Clarissa. Junior is deeply disappointed when Allison is not at home. Marco’s good deed is just too much for Annnette, and Shireen is once again summoned. Shireen comes to a heartbreaking conclusion.
