Mamoru is a healthy, soccer-loving fifth grader in Ms. Ritsuko's class. Or he was, until he falls ill after spotting a ghastly shadow dancing on a rooftop. Suspicious of his situation, Mamoru turns to Nube for help, which earns Ms. Ritsuko's ire. Though miffed, Mamoru would rather depend on the seemingly unreliable Nube. Ms. Ritsuko visits him in the hospital, only to witness a terrifying scene.
Nube, Kyoko, her friends, and even Yukime the Yuki-onna are at the beach for a day of fun. Despite melting in the scorching heat, Yukime takes every chance she gets to declare her burning love for Nube. However, Kyoko, still suspicious of Yukime, continually pours cold water on her attempts to get close to Nube. As sparks fly between the girls, a dark and sinister shadow appears in the sea.
On his way to a secret fishing spot, Katsuya rescues a lost puppy. He accidentally trespasses into a forbidden sanctuary, the dwelling of Kirin, a divine beast. When Kirin's wrath turns on Katsuya, Nube vows to protect him. But divine beasts are far deadlier than yokai, and this battle may cost Nube his life.
After finding flowers wilting in the shadow of a building, Miki angrily kicks the wall and yells at it to move. The very next day, she discovers that same building is now on the other side of the street! But no one, not even Nube, seems to have noticed the change. Realizing she is the only one aware of the town's transformation, Miki's confusion quickly turns to fear.
With police patrolling up and down, emergency alerts ringing out on cell phones, and anxious adults whispering rumours, a disturbing atmosphere hangs over the town. Amidst this tension, Hiroshi, Kyoko, and Mitsuki encounter a masked man wearing a red cape. He asks them if they prefer red, white or blue, but their innocent answers could have horrifying consequences.
Nube opens a mysterious refrigerated package, and out pops Yukime! The yuki-onna has come down from the mountains once again, driven by her love for Nube. This time, she declares she will move in with him. But struggling with their incompatible lifestyles, Nube treats her coldly. In a fit of rage, Yukime storms out, only to find herself in hot water.
Chabukuro is a yokai that appears as a pouch dangling from the sky. Anyone who grabs it can travel back in time to fix a single mistake. For Nube, there's one moment he desperately wants to change. Now, the psychic teacher who risks his life to protect his students must face the painful past that made him who he is.
Kyoko Inaba is 26 and four years into her stressful job. Once again, she boards the crowded train to work. Between angry customer calls and her tyrannical manager piling on more tasks, she cannot take it anymore. Convinced Nube is the only one who can help, she goes to find him, but what she discovers leaves her shocked.
Nube is not showing up for school, and there are rumors about a mysterious person living in the old school building. Hiroshi and his friends sneak into the building to investigate, only to find Nube possessed by a demon and unable to use his Demon Hand. Now his students must muster all their courage to save their teacher.
Remugyo, a giant spirit monster, appears at Domori Elementary and lays eggs on the backs of Nube's students. Knowing the eggs will kill them once they hatch, Nube faces a nightmare worsened by Remugyo's terrifying ability to regenerate. As Tamamo attempts to learn the secret to Nube's incredible power, the eggs begin to hatch. Nube bets his life on one last desperate attempt to save his students.
Tamamo, the fox demon Nube vanquished for trying to take Hiroshi's skull, reappears one day at Domori Elementary. When a furious Nube confronts him, Tamamo says he is no longer interested in Hiroshi and declares a temporary truce. However, he suddenly attacks the students of Class 5-3. It soon becomes apparent that Tamamo's true target is not the students, but Nube's special power.
Born into a wealthy family, Shuichi carelessly tosses aside anything he no longer needs. He has long forgotten the importance of caring for his belongings until one day, he unwittingly picks up a tattered yellow umbrella. The umbrella suddenly reveals itself as a yokai and kidnaps Shuichi, forcing him to join an array of discarded objects in the Night Parade of Yokai.
One day, Nube meets a little girl in town. She is a Zashiki Warashi, a spirit that brings good fortune to people. The Zashiki Warashi becomes attached to Nube and follows him to school. From that day on, unexpected good fortune begins to befall his classmates one after another. However, as he sees how the students in his class gradually forget about hard work and start relying on good fortune, Nube finds it difficult to say goodbye to the Zashiki Warashi, but...
Young inventor Akira finds a broken tablet and becomes even more obsessed with building great machines, as if he is possessed by something. One day, Akira announces he can bring the dead back to life, scaring his friends. Nueno senses something is wrong and investigates Akira's inventions, when he notices something strange within Akira's tablet...
As unseasonable snow blankets the town of Domori, a beautiful young woman appears before Nueno. Her name is Yukime, and she has come to fulfill a promise she made to him five years ago. Excited by their teacher's improbable romance, Nueno's students sneakily tag along on their date, only to witness Yukime's frosty intentions.
Fear grips Makoto after he hears about Teketeke, the spirit of a girl who lost her lower body in a railway accident. According to the story, now she wanders the world in search of new legs. Makoto grows desperate for help upon learning that the spirit is coming for him within three days. However, Nueno urges him to forget everything, insisting that Teketeke is nothing more than a myth.
Katsuya will do anything to make his sister Manami happy, even if it means he has to run around borrowing money. That is how he unwittingly falls victim to the evil spirit Hatamonba's trap. When he realizes Hatemonba's deadly blade is not only pointing at his own neck, but also his sister's, he runs to Nueno for help. However, Hatamonba's sword appears to be mightier than Nueno's Demon Hand.
After witnessing Nueno's amazing power, Miki becomes obsessed with gaining psychic abilities. She even tries to train while sleeping. When her efforts produce an unusual result, she joyfully celebrates her success. However, her friends are far from impressed. In fact, they are scared of what Miki has become.
An unsettling shadow appears in the school in the dead of night. It's rumored that an honor student is erasing blackboards, replacing flowers of flower vases, and cleaning the rabbit cages when there should be no one there. To get to the truth of the matter, Hiroshi and his friends sneak into the school, only to encounter a voice in the dark saying, "Let's be friends!"
Nueno uses his ultimate weapon Demon Hand to exorcise the Yokai possessing Hiroshi. But suddenly, the mysterious and handsome Tamamo appears, kidnapping Hiroshi right before Nueno's eyes! As Nueno gives chase, Tamamo makes preparations throughout town for an unknown ritual. Just why did he kidnap Hiroshi, and what is his true identity?
The town of Domori may be plagued by mysterious phenomena, but things are not going well for Class 5-3's new homeroom teacher Meisuke Nueno, either. Right from the start, Nueno, or "Nube" for short, becomes the target of fifth-grader Hiroshi's bursts of rage. After witnessing something bizarre, Nueno suspects there may be an otherworldly reason behind Hiroshi's sudden personality change.
Description
A number of inexplicable phenomena have been plaguing the town of Domori. In order to protect the town's children, a new homeroom teacher known as “Nube” arrives. Normally gentle and a bit outgoing, Nube has a secret side: he is, in fact, the only psychic teacher in Japan. Rumor also has it his left hand is possessed by a demon! Hell's messenger of justice is here to take on the school's seven mysteries, ghosts, and evil spirits attacking his students.
