A young girl reports the sudden disappearance of her boyfriend. Because abuses surrounding labor migration are a priority for the agency and the missing man is a Polish worker, Zitman throws herself fully into the case. The investigation leads Eva and Jeroen into the shadowy world of temp agencies and exploitation. Meanwhile, Romeo and Marion have to deal with a remarkably compelling witness.
An unexpected phone call puts Eva and Jeroen on the trail of a basement where a body is discovered that has lain there unnoticed for weeks. The discovery raises questions about the victim's identity and the circumstances surrounding his death. At the same time, Romeo and Marion receive valuable information about a suspicious van that may play a central role in a drug trafficking network. This clue could be crucial in uncovering a larger criminal connection and identifying those responsible for both cases. As the investigation unfolds, the two leads appear to become increasingly intertwined.
Eva and her new partner Jeroen conduct their first investigation together: a dead neighbor is found on the doorstep of a young man with unexplained behavior. Everything points to a simple case, but Eva refuses to accept this. Meanwhile, Romeo and Marion are called to a shoplifting incident: a school student has stolen jewelry and refuses to speak to the police.
Romeo is back at work with Marion, and together they are resolutely focusing on the investigation into a drug find in the lockers of a large company. As a result, Eva is left alone in a case involving a young woman found dead. Old demons are soon stirred up when it becomes clear that the victim was addicted. In response to this, Zitman intervenes and decides that Eva will be assigned a new partner.
When a metal prospector is violently killed, Eva and Marion are unwillingly drawn into the intriguing and usually hidden world of treasure hunters and metal fishermen. What initially appears to be a crime of passion soon proves to be more complex than expected. Meanwhile, Romeo's rehabilitation is nearing completion, and his return home is about to begin.
Eva and Marion uncover a criminal organization with deep ramifications in the legitimate world. Despite significant opposition at the highest level, they manage to identify and successfully arrest both the perpetrators and the masterminds, thereby making a major contribution to the dismantling of the network and the restoration of law and order.
A lavish funeral service is seized upon by a criminal group for an apparent settling of accounts within the underworld. Eva throws herself into the case together with Marion.
While Floris Wolfs is being examined in the hospital after being knocked down by his son, Romeo is fighting for his life in the same hospital after being stabbed in the back. Meanwhile, Eva and Marion are assigned a new case: the disappearance of two vulnerable girls from an institution. There are fears they may have fallen into the hands of a violent loverboy organization.
Description
Former Amsterdam police detective Floris Wolfs has been transferred to the police department of the south-Dutch country town Maastricht. His metropolitan experience nicely complements the local expertise of his new country colleagues, who know the folks. Slowly he fits in, while solving countless crimes together with his female partner Eva van Dongen.
