Sloane's husband calls to announce he's on his way home to surprise Sloane after finishing his Army tour in Afghanistan. But Sloane is in a sloppy state, so Chelsea must scramble to clean her up before he arrives.
Chelsea sets out to buy a pair of beautiful yet overly pricey boots. Elsewhere, Rick stirs it up by entering a mixed-drink contest. But when the judges sour on his drink, he turns to Chelsea for the recipe to her tasty "bang bang" cocktail.
Chelsea meets an attractive and talented chef who starts courting her with rich and sumptuous meals. She ignores friendships, shirks responsibilities and packs on pounds. In response, Olivia and Dee Dee serve up an intervention. Olivia tries to help Rick cope when it seems his girlfriend has moved on.
Rick becomes manager of the sports bar, yet it's not all cheers due to his overly strict supervision. Meanwhile, Nikki and Dee Dee take part in a body cleanse. A starving Dee Dee plays by the rules, but a cheating Nikki secretly binges on pub grub.
A love story meets a glove story when Chelsea falls for a minor-league baseball player. Chelsea, a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan, is then thrown a nasty curve when her new beau is traded to the rival Yankees. Elsewhere, Rick continues to bond with Nikki.
Dee Dee confesses that she's named her pillow "Mario Lopez." When Chelsea spreads the secret, she sets out to make amends by connecting Dee Dee with the real Mario Lopez. Elsewhere, Melvin wades back into the dating pool.
When Chelsea starts dating a overly weepy customer to help Olivia get a job, she has to figure out how to cut him loose without hurting him.
Chelsea goes deep-sea fishing with her new doctor and his male medical colleague. Chelsea's true motive is to reel in the sightly doctor, but it's rough sailing when it becomes clear that the two men are more than business partners.
Wedding plans are jeopardized when Nikki's fiancé gets cold feet. Meanwhile, Chelsea takes in a stray dog.
Sloane plans a social get-together for her church group at the bar which gives Chelsea a prime opportunity to romance the church band's sightly lead singer. Meanwhile, Rick's spunky ex-girlfriend lands a job at the bar.
Sloane's ex-beau arrives at the bar and Chelsea sets out to woo him, despite Sloane's objections. Elsewhere, Rick tries to reconnect with his former flame, only to be blindsided by a discovery about her.
