Seasons
In El Salvador, a country undergoing transformation after years of violence, Antoine de Maximy sets out to meet residents with unique life stories. From the capital to the Pacific beaches, he encounters a passionate merchant-singer, a former prisoner living as a hermit, and a widow raising her two children in an isolated house in the mountains. Between local traditions and eccentric celebrations, the country reveals a new, more serene face.
In the Sultanate of Oman, where traditional dress codes still govern society, Antoine de Maximy attempts to immerse himself in the daily lives of the inhabitants. From Nizwa to Muscat, via the Haima desert and the coast of Salalah, his journey reveals the challenges of a country where hospitality remains limited to public spaces. Only one local artist ultimately opens the doors of his home to him. It is the only time the globe-trotting squatter will enter the home of an Omani.
