After a surprise reunion with Hotaru at a train station, Kokonotsu asks her why she suddenly disappeared without saying anything to him.
With the help from Hajime, Saya, and To, Kokonotsu completes his manga in time and brings it to the On-site Manga Review Event.
After setting up the shop's website, Shikada Dagashi receives its first delivery order. Later on, Kokonotsu decides to bring his manga to an on-site manga review event.
After talking to the convenience store manager, Kokonotsu decides to create a website for Shikada Dagashi. On a different occasion, Hajime tries to cover up the fact that she forgot to order a product.
After coming across a woman seeing off Kokonotsu in the morning in front of his shop, Saya cannot stop thinking about it all day long and decides to check out this woman.
A woman walks into Shikada Dagashi after seeing the help-wanted flyer that Kokonotsu put out on the shop's door and asks him to hire her.
Kokonotsu, To and Saya go check out the new convenience store. There, they meet the store’s manager, who begins to see Kokonotsu as his rival.
Ever since Hotaru stopped coming to Shikada Dagashi, Kokonotsu has been feeling down. On top of that, Yo tells him that the shop is in financial trouble.
Kokonotsu and the gang decide to go to the fireworks festival. When Saya asks him to call Hotaru, he finds her at the shop choosing a Homerun Bar with a very serious face.
While Kokonotsu and To are trying to figure out how to play with beigoma, Hotaru shows up with her beigoma to battle with them.
On the day a typhoon is approaching, Saya, To, and Hotaru gather at Kokonotsu's house. As the wind and rain get stronger, Kokonotsu suggests that they spend the night there.

Description
Shikada Kokonotsu's father owns a rural sweets shop, and his plan is for Kokonotsu to take it over one day. However, Kokonotsu wants to be a manga author instead! One day in summer, the cute but weird girl Shidare Hotaru, from the famous sweets company, comes to pay a visit. Apparently, Kokonotsu's father is famous and she wants him to join her family's company. However, he will only agree if she can convince Kokonotsu to take over the family business!
